The Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre offers free and confidential counselling for survivors of recent and historical sexual assault and the people who support them.
The Support Line is a free, immediate and confidential service available 24-hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends and holidays.Unconditional and nonjudgmental support and information is available to men and women of both recent and historical sexual assault as well as the people who are in their support system such as partners, friends, etc. Anyone under 16 years of age will be provided with an appropriate referral for services.
Individual Counselling, Advocacy, Accompaniment as well as the 24-Hour Crisis Line are available throughout the City of Peterborough, the counties of Peterborough, Northumberland, Haliburton and the City of Kawartha Lakes.
Individual counselling is free and confidential. Counselling is available to women and men of both recent and historical sexual assault as well as the people who support them.
Anyone under 16 years of age will be provided with an appropriate referral for services.
Accompaniment and advocacy is provided to medical and legal appointments such as the hospital, court proceedings, doctor appointments, police station, Criminal Injuries Compensation Board hearings, etc.
To meet the needs of our community Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre offers many different types of group counselling.
There are groups available for men and women survivors of sexual assault/abuse.
